Our prayers were finally answered after praying for nine years to be able to go to Lourdes. We wanted to go to the place where Our Blessed Mother Mary appeared to St. Bernadette mainly for physical healing in our family. It was not an easy trip, we had many difficulties getting there, the evil one tried to do everything he could to stop us from going. Because of this, we knew that we had made the right decision. Our first day in Lourdes was a rainy one, not just a little rain, heavy rain and wind all day. As we entered the grounds our umbrellas were destroyed, this did not bother us. We felt a great peace as we entered the grotto and prayed for all of the intentions we carried in our heart and for the healing of our family members.
After praying at the grotto we headed straight to the baths where we prayed the Holy Rosary and the Chaplet of Divine Mercy while we waited. There were so many people praying joyfully, waiting to be bathed in Lourdes' miraculous healing waters. There was a sign on the wall before the entrance of the bath, written in many different language saying, "Drink and Wash in the Spring."
After the bath, I felt a great peace and joy in my heart, a peace that I have never felt before, a feeling that was also shared by the members of my family. Later that day, we went to Mass and did the Rosary procession in the evening. With a statue of Our Lady of Lourdes leading the way, we began with thousands of people praying together with lighted candles.
The next day, we did the Stations of the Cross and Eucharistic Procession and Adoration.
We also visited the house where St. Bernadette lived.
Lourdes is a beacon of hope for all of us!
Our Lady Lourdes pray for us!
St. Bernadette pray for us!
God bless you!
