One of the greatest leader in the pro-life movement, Miss Nellie Gray has passed away. She was the inspiration behind The End of Abortion Movement: The Rosary is the Key. I admired her for being able to energize all the pro-life movements.
I first spoke to her on the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, 2011 regarding the possibility of praying the Rosary at the March for Life. She told me that it looked very difficult and that it might not happen but that she was going to see if there was a chance. She also told me that she had been asking herself why abortion has not ended it. It pained her so much because it was almost 40 years. I told her that the answer might be the Rosary. After Christmas, I called Miss Nellie Gray and she told me that it was not possible to pray the Holy Rosary at the March because of schedule conflicts. But that she might be able to arrange a room at the hotel where the convention for the March for Life would take place. Two days before, the March, Miss Nellie’s assistant confirmed the Glacier Room at the Hyatt Regency near the Capitol to be used as the Rosary Room. My husband and my three daughters came with me. We had people with us praying the Holy Rosary at all times. A mother and a son came to pray with us for three hours the Holy Rosary and at the end the son stayed for another three hours. Everyone that came was really a prayer warrior. We prayed from 8:30 A.M to 5:00 P.M on Sunday and then we came back on Monday morning to pray some more. We prayed a total of forty Rosaries for the end of abortion, contraception, and euthanasia. After the March, my husband and I received the grace to start a prayer movement that will commit to pray the Holy Rosary for the end of abortion, contraception, euthanasia and now for religious freedom for all. I truly believe that the Rosary is the key to end the greatest evil in this world. We believe that January 23, 2012 will mark the beginning of the end of abortion. I spoke to her a few times after the March for Life and she told me that she was praying the Rosary and asked me to keep her in my prayers. I believe that January 23, 2012 will mark the beginning of the end of abortion. Miss Nellie was able to raise a pro-life army. As Fr. Pavone said, Nellie Gray was “a tireless warrior for the unborn.” She is going to be greatly missed. She worked very hard to fight for the unborn and I believe that she is not done, she will probably work harder from heaven, she is a warrior and she won’t stop until the evil of abortion is done. Please help us end abortion by praying the Holy Rosary. You can join at: http://www.theendofabortionmovement.com/join-the-movement.html I know that with action and prayer, abortion will end very soon. We need to unite under the banner of Our Lady of The Rosary as only she will be able to help us. If we can change peoples’ hearts, then we can end abortion and the only way to change hearts is by prayer and sacrifice. Please keep Miss Nelly Gray in your prayers! God bless you.
